Welcome to my creative universe! I'm Melani, a Senior Visual Designer and Design Researcher, from Bangalore.
I started of as a fresh-faced architecture graduate all set to explore the world of design. While I adored the feel of a tangible well-laid brick wall, it was the intangible mysteries of design that drew me in. From the nuanced research behind the perfect brick to explaining it to Raj from accounting, I found my calling in visual design within the ed tech realm. Who knew research and design could make quadratic equations exciting?
Fast forward, and I found myself delving into pure research and service design. As a proud Service and Design Researcher today, I've cracked the code on how design can bridge gaps, empower communities, and turn businesses into people-centric powerhouses.
I'm also a card-carrying sustainability geek with a dream to cultivate my own oasis—a vibrant space that nurtures, empowers, and educates—because for me, design transcends mere aesthetics.
What fuels my creative fire, you ask? Empathy, research, and problem-solving.
When I'm not saving the planet one design at a time, you can find me geeking out over psychology, battling dragons in the virtual world (gotta keep those problem-solving skills sharp!) or walking around orderly aisles of a meticulously organized supermarkets. Call me quirky, but there's something oddly satisfying about perfectly aligned cereal boxes.
